Well friends,
I understand the things .
My take is:
I will stay another 2 years when i exhaust my full 6yrs H1B.If GC doesnt seem thru by then,I can then move back to INDIA and invest in a new venture.
I dont find any need to go to Canada,Australia or Gulf.

Does anybody know how many EB2-I and EB2-ROW PERMs were processed for 2006, 2007 and 2008? Once we know these numbers it will be easy to predict EB2-I movement as all of the spillover numbers will be used primarily by EB2 India.

Dude, I don't know where you come from but you have a very thorough and deep knowledge of how to run the prostitution business. However, I am sorry to say that you know nothing about consulting business.
You call desi consulting companies whatever bad names you want, but the truth is that consulting companies are the one who:
1. Files for GC, the way you ask with no questions asked. (nothing illegal about it)
2. Helps you maintain legal status while you are on the bench ... If you are working for non-desi company and your services are not required, you get a pink slip.
3. Pay you per you skills. Contrary to general conceptions, desi consulting companies pay you appropriately (at least most of them) per the billing rate they get from client. Remember it involves cost to run you payroll like payroll taxes and salary of employees, so you can't keep 100% of billing rate.
Desi consulting companies are not always a blood sucker and desi consultants are not idiots. Infact they are may be more skilled than a IT profession working in big-shot American IT company and doing the same job for last 5 years. Consulting provides you a new job and new set of challenges and technologies to work with every now and then.
Consultants are the work force driving American IT needs.
In fact consider the consulting business like prostitution and the h1b consulting companies as no more then pimp.No matter whether my sister or I work for the same.Let me explain the business processes of two for you.
1.Client is most important in both the cases.No matter how client mistreated you , the pimp will take you to different client but will never snub the client.
2.You work at client site on odd hour.
3.It's pimp's job to keep pros under control and scare them of consequences for deserting them. H1b is one such tool and another is too restrictive contract ( 18 months etc ).
4.If your tech skill got outdated they will dump you ( regardless of contract ) . Old pros becomes "Mausi" and old consultant opens Consulting co and starts h1b hiring.
5.If you have to have latest skill and for every new engagement client will select from many resume like in pros business. Pros do make etc to be in market.
6. Pimp will not like the contract to hire clause but h1b/pros will like to have that.
7. when some one enforces law to ban the business organize protest march of pros . have you seen any protest march by pimps ? Same here , protest march by h1b consultant not by consulting co.

Maybe the source u heard from is someone from Cognizant itself or supporter of Cognizant whose trying to cover up and trying make sure that no one reports about their misuse of EB1, so that they can continue to apply in EB1. This is a high possibility. So when you hear such news do not believe it completely.

I am surprised why H1bs are angry ? This memo will impact the body shop only . Why shed tears for these desis dallas ? There is no bottom-line for these Indian Dallas. Now USCIS has just said we will follow the rules and people are worried ? Why the desi IT companies have/will not follow the rules.Work directly for client or good consulting companies. What if in after some time they apply same regulations to say people on EAD and using AC21 (i am still not clear whether it already applies to EAD we will have to wait for legal experts to comment) ? Has anybody really tried to get a mortgage recently? I have been denied by 8 lenders so far simply because I don't have a green card. Most lenders have tightened their underwriting guidelines. They will give mortgages only to U.S.Citizens or somebody who is a permanent resident aka having a green card. There are very very few lenders who will give mortgages to somebody on a visa and the rates may not be very favorable.

Lets say you have a company. You apply for some-one's labor. The labor is approved. Then the guy leaves. So you have one approved labor. You can then ask me to give you a "gift" of lets say $30,000 and in due course you will employ me in that position. Technically this is illegal, just like it is to take campaign contributions to vote in a certain way...But in practice it is hard to establish quid pro quo in these cases. More so when the person is willingly paying the money and is not willing to turn on the seller. So people who say you can buy LCs legally are WRONG.

I'm sorry, I haven't monitored the web-site since my last posting.
Today reality hit me very hard. I am in my late thirties and I haven't had much adversity in my life regarding financial, career, family, etc.
However; today reality really hit me hard.
One gentlemen, his name was Raja Pitchai. He had asked me to help him file his I-140 and ask for cross chargeability to his wife's place of birth (singapore). USCIS accepted his package and his 140 got approved in a couple of months. (his priority date; india became available one month later anyways (he was from india eb2).
He was the one of the nicest guys I have talked to. Very courteous fellow.
They couldn't approve his case because he was stuck in name check. Well, his wife called me today and told me that he passed away last week (brain tumor). He had two U.S. citizen children but him and his wife have no relatives here.
She doesn't seem to be interested to stay here (she wouldn't be able to keep the greencard process going anyways because the death of the petitioner is automatic denial). She is leaving USA and was going through all the things she needs to wind up. I don't know if she would have stayed here if she got the greencard and I didn't want to task. Reality really him home today.
I need a couple of days to get over this.

I cannot think of any one good leader left in india. not one who can rise above self-interest and narrow mentality. Can you imagine any one of the so called leaders that was mentioned in this list leading the nation, and not be a laughing stock? remember deva gowda at davos...made a mockery of India there. Mayawati/modi, etc. what kind of leadership qualities (international affairs/finance/etc) do they have? the only kind of experience they have is gundaism, and creating conflicts with caste, culture and religion.
I wish most of the current class of leaders were erased, and a new class of leaders were brought in. Sadly that'll never happen with the kind of democratic setup we have. in the name of representation, we are debarring intellects, and people with broad vision from joining politics.
