This is what my very very high profile attorney wrote in her email to me today....
" We have heard that there will be a visa regression the first week of July "
And in immigration matters I trust her more than anybody in this whole country. So guys be ready and prepared. Do what u have to do. Be proactive.
My post is not to spread rumors or scare people but to help them to grab this golden opportunity.
I am ready to send papers for July 1st.
Visa bulletin is based on the demand for visas. An immigrant vise is ISSUED when a GC is approved, and not filed. When a person receives an I485 approval letter that means his immigrant visa was assigned to him and that an immigrant visa number was used. Same applies to consular processing. The bottom line is that unless USCIS approves a huge amount of GCs in the coming months, the DOS can't and won't make adjustments in the middle of the month. STOP THIS RUMOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Spillover would be by PD so China will not get same number of EB2 numbers as India. India has many more old applications then China.
I assume they move both the countries PD to the same year/month if the spill over happens. Atleast in the past, it would be interesting to see how they move now.
Even in all the scenarios it is less likely to go in to 2007, if not beyond June 2006.

LTTE is a terrorist organization banned all over the world, first by India and US.
If you go read about the situation on the UN site you will find out that the civilians are held hostage by the LTTE and that is the main reason for the civilians to be in this situation.
If you want to see what LTTE is doing to their OWN people click on the link below and click on the link on the right hand side on top. You will see like 20 LTTE terrorists shooting at like 5000 tamils trying to escape from them. This was taken from a UAV of the SL Gov like a week ago.

Belmontboy ..Thanks for the same ..as I said earlier any campaign should highlight the positive aspects of legal immigration ..fighting over EB1 misuse is not going to help. I am a prospective home buyer and in the last few months, I met 8 buyer / seller agents ..they are literally sweating for any business ...at the very least let us show the positive contribution that immigrants have for the housing and other related economy (which is massive in terms of $$$$$). I am sure everyone will agree that this is better than fighting over EB1 misuse and fighting amongst ourselves

How else is a consulting company supposed to work - if they do not send their consultants to client site? Consulting is not always a one month affair - all IT organizations need long term consulting on permanent basis from subject matter experts. Again I know for sure that this is a misguided memo from some folks in USCIS who has no practical understanding of the complexity of modern IT organizations.

Can please somebody reply, is this a non profit organisation or everytime somebody ask's some innocent question he is bombarded with counter questions like have you contributed, I can understand the frustations when there are freebee's but please everybody has his limitations,this reminds of bania's in mumbai you will get your your grocerries only if you have paid your previous debt's. REALLY? Is it a coincidence that a desi company owner will usually have 99% of his emploees Indian? Thinking that employment depends only on skills is not realistic. A lot of the networking based on national origin interferes with how at least H1 jobs are landed here. So there is a reason to have rules preventing a monopoly.

Business may hire from India or Antartica, it should not be anyone's damn concern. Let the free markets work !!! This is insane

All I meant was - TN is again just a visa after all and is just another version of the H1B hell. You ought to do better than just working for some one to pursue your American Dream right? What use it is to keep looking for an employer, extending your visas - is that not just a glorified version of H1B? True freedom is when you could quit an ass of any employer and come back home with your head held high :)
To qualify for TN status you need to become a Canadian citizen first, and that's what I'm going to do. It'll take about 4 years, maybe a little longer (3 year cumulative presence over the last 4 years + bureaucratic process of switching from PR to citizenship). With my Canadian passport I'll have many more options than with my current one. Working in TN status in the USA is just one of these options. It's mostly appealing to those who can get a better paying job in the USA. If I'm not happy with that job, I can always go back home -- to Canada.
Your concept of "true freedom" is rather limited, if you think about it. :) To me true freedom is when you can choose on any given day what you want to do: work, travel, sleep all day, have fun, etc. It requires much more than having a green card or even a US citizenship.

Gandhi Family has changed their strategy since many years and they have a great success in doing so, turning their family from 'king' to 'King maker'. We wouldn't see any claim by Rahul to be PM in near future. Its a smart strategy. In early '90s, majority of people across the country hated them more than they hated the party, allowing BJP/local regional parties to emerge and fill vacuum created by Congress. Now see how the strategy is working for them, they would be in power again. Personally I like both Sonia and Rahul, can't doubt their intension of making India better
