America is about freedom and liberty and is a law abiding country. Country caps is discrimination with people of two countries which have almost half of the population in the world. I am not saying increase visas for India or China. I am only saying increase the total number of visas and then make the system FIFO so that every skilled person in this world have same access to immigration.

Thank you for your personal opinion. India was doing well when Vajpayee was PM. He is not some management honcho. It is a vision of the person that is more important. Manmohan is a learned man and has provided country with real good service but real power rests with Sonia and her son Rahul.
Hence. Its a question of ideology in the long run and given my background, BJP govt suits me better than Congress. So I prefer Advani over Sonia.
I am not sure what vision Mr.Advani has for India. May be at this age he might have better vision than other people in the same league.

This a very optimistic prediction....
i think .. most with PD of jan 2005 and earlier will get their GC ..thus in OCT VB the dates will pull back a bit..maybe mid 2004...so first qtr will be bad news for anyone with a PD after jan 2005,...but the 2nd and 3rd qtr.. the dates will be definitely be in mid 2006.

I do not think there will be any retro for EB2 India in coming 2 quarters unless there are too many new labour approvals giving chance to file AOS with later PDs or EB3 to EB2 porting.

These guys might meet you and greet you in WMT. Once it happened, the guy's wife met my wife and complimented her that "Ooh you have a sweet little boy!" and that's how the convesation started with my wife and then with me. The guy told me he runs his "ecommerce business". Next day he calls us for tea to discuss "ecommerce business" , I became suspicious and charged him "Are you running Amway?" He said there is nothing wrong in running Amway business and I had a heated argument with him over this as to why he did not tell me earlier.
So thats it - nowadays they have adopted a different strategy!

I think as someone said this guy was randomly throwing numbers out there. How come his analysis does not account for remaining 36K EB1 and EB2 ROW applications. Is he suggesting that all EB1 and EB2 ROW are being used up also. Very hard to believe that for 2008 and 2009 with the way the economy is going. Lot of product companies where most of the ROW 485s would likely come from have stopped applying perm since last summer. There is a huge flaw in this analysis and its not as pessimistic as it seems.
BUT, then again we need legislation to wipe the slate clean and clear these 200K applications, so there is a new build up of visa demand and wait times are tolerable for current applicants and future applicants.
What will happen to the 30k or so unused ROW EB1/EB2 numbers? Typically they trickle down to EB2 India in the last 3 months of FY. I still think this will happen in the next 3 months. Please, they do not pull aside every 'Khan' in the world. Yes, things seem OTT every now and then with an amount of drunken patriotism -- and you may come across an occasional "Voldemort" from the INS. However, can you place blame solely on homeland security? We live in a global world / economy of nearly 6 billion and every day visitors with trade of varied kind - surely you cannot expect the avg Joe at homeland security to know every zero talented b'wood hero out there?! I'd also urge you to look at the brighter side of the coin - of the various programs in place to have African Muslims, Arabs and the Iraqis being moved into the US, by giving them jobs, homes and permanent resident status. Likewise with Afghans, and the visa diversity program. These folks have names like Abdul, Osama, Khalid and Khan. So please, tone down the b'wood inspired sensationalism - view things in context.

Now if you were from a country affected negatively by the quotas then I will take that as suggestions from some one who is in the same boat.
On the other hand if you are from "ROW" then all your attempts to kill this ideas will make me understand how scared you are of this idea and hence how good this idea really is. :)
The reason I asked which state chapter you belong to is to check if you are one of the "Real" IV members...coz there is a lot of people who are on this forum for a completely different purpose.

I am doing an employer change - HtoH transfer.
Do I have to wait for the H1 transfer approval or is the receipt good
enough for me to travel abroad? Do I have to get my new H1 stamped
before reentering? I still have the dates on my old h1 (from AMD)
valid on the stamping on my passport - will this suffice? Please
explain.
Also my Advanced Parole is on its way. Will I be able to travel on EAD
and AP, when my H1 transfer is being filed? Can I still hold on to my
H1 status, if I traveled using my AP?

This is what I'm doing. I'm flying to Nebraska service center friday night. Will put my shelter in front on PO box and will remain there until Monday morning. Once the USCIS guy comes up to pick up the mails, I'm just going to hand deliver my paper before he even opens his mail box.
